Legal status

The Wood Technology Institute was established by the Minister of Forestry on 1st January 1952 (Order of the Minister of Forestry of 8th November 1951, M. P. No. A-106, item 1559). The Institute is a research-development unit registered in the National Court Register under No. KRS 0000106475.

The Institute acts on the basis of:
  • act of 25 July 1985 on research-development units (Dz. U. No. 33 z 2001 r., item 388) with subsequent changes,
  • Regulation of the Minister of Science of 12 December 2001 on detailed conditions and financial management of research-development units (Dz. U. No. 153, item 1764),
  • statutes validated by the Minister of Economy on 4 July 1997.

The Institute’s office is in Poznań, on Winiarska str 1.
The Institute is supervised by the Minister for Economic Affairs and Labour.
