Xylotheque database
It is a fact-collecting database containing information on over 600 species of ligneous plants, endemic and exotic, most used in Europe. A considerable part of this collection has sections of three anatomical sets which are used for microscope determination of species. The database includes references to EN 350-1 and 350-2 standards concerning density, natural resistance and susceptibility to impregnation. Samples of wood of most European species and also species from North and South America, Africa, Australia and Asia are found in the Xylotheque.
The database created by the Wood Science and Application Department
