Activities > Scientific research Scientific research Activity in the field of scientific research, stemming from the Statute, of the Institute encompasses scientific research and development works conducted in the following scope: - structure, quality, and properties of wood, wood products and materials used in the woodworking and furniture industries and in products of these industries,
- production processes of sawmilling, wood-based panels, plywood, matches, builder’s carpentry and joinery, furniture, chemical wood processing industries,
- machines, implements and energy supply of these branches,
- biotechnology,
- organization and economics of the wood industry,
- roundwood, sawnwood, wood-based panels, furniture and other wood products markets,
- product quality,
- environmental protection and safety at work.
Activity in the field of scientific research is realized through: - statutory projects:
- scientific and R&D projects financed from public funding (Ministry of Science and Information Society Technologies, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of the Environment, State Forests Directorate General and other) and private funding (wood industry companies):
- projects supporting research:
