22th Trade Market Awarded in 2014 on the World Innovation Exhibitions
On 17-18th February the Association of Polish Inventors and Rationalizers along with Eurobusiness-Haller company organized for the 22th time the retrospective event titled „22th Trade Market awarded on world exhibitions and innvation fairs in 2014". The exhibition took place in the Conference Centre which is the part of the Copernicus Science Centre.
As in previous years the event was under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Main Council of the Research Institutes, Polish Federation of Engineering Associations - NOT, Polish Patent Office and PARP Academy.
The main goal of the exhibition is to promote the achievements and international successes of science units, innovative business entities and individual inventors from outside of the research community, to increase the intereset of businessmen for Polish scientific and technological solutions and innovative products, as well as to honor the medalists of the innovation fair for their international successes. On the trade market were presented products and technologies in the advanced research and implementation process or ready to be implemented and commercialised.
The exhibition is interdisciplinary and gathered 152 solutions this year. The exhibitors were representatives of the academic research units, research institutions, industry as well as individual innovators. There were also young creators including winners of the Ambassador of the School Innovation competition organised by the Polish Patent Office and the Young Innovator 2014 organised by the Eurobusiness-Haller company, whose participation in the Trade Market were financed by Haller Pro Inventio Foundation.
During second day the Trade Market was available to all visitors. Anyone intereseted had the opportunity to visit the Trade Market and take a look at the presented by the innovators the innovative technological solutions at the form of the original products, prototypes, models and multimedia presentations.
The participation of Polish exhibitioners in the international innovation fair in 2014 in numbers - over 620 awards in 21 exhibitions in 2014:
5 Grand Prix awards,
91 gold medals with special mention,
136 gold medals,
149 silver medals,
89 bronze medals.

Among exhibitioners was also Wood Technology Institute, that received the diploma for the gold medal with mention in the EUREKA competition at the 63rd World Exhibition BRUSSELS INNOVA 2014 for the invention EP 2700310 A1 „Preservatives for protection against fungi and algae and methods of wood protection against fungi and algae using those preservatives" by Jadwiga Zabielska-Matejuk, Andrzej Fojutowski, Juliusz Pernak, Mariusz Kot and Anna Stangierska.
