Ministry of Science and Higher Education scholarships for outstanding young scientist from the Wood Technology Institute
Scientific scholarships for outstanding young scientists are awarded every year by the Minister of Science and Higher Education to outstanding young scientists who conduct high-quality research and have impressive scientific achievements on an international scale.
In the 11th edition of the contest 168 winners were selected out of 1137 applications submitted by research centres employing young scientists. Among the winners was Dominika Janiszewska, PhD (Eng) from the Wood Technology Institute. Awarded scholarship will allow young scientists to carry out further research.
Dr. Dominika Janiszewska (Eng) is also the winner of the "Talent Hotbed" competition organized by the Marshal's Office of the Wielkopolska Region (2011), winner of internship at Stanford University as part of the TOP 500 Innovators (2013) government programme, winner of internship at the Istituto per la valorizzazione del legno e delle specie arboree in Italy (2016), and also the beneficiary under the LIDER programme (2016). In 2012 she was appointed Deputy Head of the Composite Wood Products Department at the Wood Technology Institute.
