The Wood technology Institute in Poznan organized a discussion panel concerning the issue of MECHANICAL WOOD PROCESSING
On 2nd December 2009 a meeting of the Polish Technology Platform for the Forestry and Wood Sector was held in the Wood Technology Institute in Poznan.
From 18th till 23rd October 2009 the XIII World Forestry Congress was held in Buenos Aires (Argentina). Those Congresses are organized every six years and the first was held in 1926 in Rome.
The Wood Technology Institute in Poznan was granted funding by the National Centre for Research and Development for implementation of the project no. N R15 0076 06/2009 entitled: “New construction material - ecological wood-based nanocomposite of enhanced fire and water resistance, produced in energy efficient manufacturing process”
The Wood Technology Institute in Poznan organized a scientific seminar entitled: „WOOD INDUSTRY - NEW TRENDS IN TECHNICS AND TECHNOLOGY" The seminar was held on 25. June 2009 in the assembly hall of the Wood Technology Institute

The Wood Technology Institute in Poznań received funding from the European Regional Development Fund for implementation of the project no. POIG.01.01.01-30-022/08 entitled: “Foresight in the wood science and industry - research development scenarios in Poland till 2020”.
The 3rd Economic Forum of the Polish Timber and Furniture Industry POLWOOD 2009 was held on the premises of Poznan International Fair on April 1st, 2009, during DREMA 2009 Fair
4th edition of Wood Fair DREWOOD was held from 20 till 22 March 2009 in Hala Stulecia in Wroclaw (the event took place simultaneously with Building Fair TARBUD). This Fair gathers representatives of the wood industry from Poland and abroad.
On 27-28 January 2009 Asst. Prof. Ewa Ratajczak, DSc as an Executive Board member, participated in a General Assembly of InnovaWood scientific network which was held in Valencia (Spain).
On 21 January 2009 CARB (California Air Resources Board) granted the Wood Technology Institute the Third Party Certifier (TPC) status in the scope of supervision of composite wood product manufacture in respect of formaldehyde release.
BUDMA Fair was held on 20-23 January 2009 on the premises of Poznan International Fair.
